Week 12

Both:
After editing the final draft, we have sent to one of our closest friends to help us edit the grammar. The narrative structure, story flow and content are finally done. We have added more details into the story to make it more emotional and touching to the readers.

Nicole:
This week, I have refined the design of the donation page. Since we both think the website layout and design are too static, we implement another design style on donation and charity introduction page. I am also working on the final user testing questionnaire to receive feedback and suggestions from others. I am going to prepare a few tasks and questions for our participants to see if our website are functional and have a smooth experience. We also want to see if our users would donate for single-parent families. Next week, I will be working on interviewing with participants and organize the results.

Develop:
Visualization and interaction of Canada map and comparing single-parent families, couple-parents families, Maria's income are finished and applied in our website.
This map visualizes the single parent situation in each province in Canada. The darker color represents a higher rate of single-parent families. When the user hover on the province, the province will be highlighted and show the situation on the top

This graph is comparing median income of single-parent families, couple families, maria's family from 2012-2016. When the user hover on the point, the detailed information will show
Next Plan: Since only the visualization and interaction are finished, the copywriting part(inserting the story plot and images in the graphs) will be done next week
